Agape Village has invited a special guest, Clarence Carter (Tennessee's DHS Commissioner), to be our speaker at our annual dinner this year.
Commissioner Carter is a nationally recognized public sector leader with more than three decades of experience improving outcomes for vulnerable populations. Throughout his career serving under four governors, two presidents, and a mayor, he has championed innovative approaches to human services that focus on helping people move from vulnerability toward independence and opportunity.
Drawing from the ideas in his new book, "Our Net Has Holes In It", Commissioner Carter will share a compelling vision for a more effective safety net. His central thesis is that America does not suffer from a lack of compassion or investment, but from a fragmented system that was never designed to function as a cohesive whole. He advocates for a person-centered, outcomes-driven approach that aligns government, nonprofit, business, and community resources around helping people achieve long-term success.
Come learn more about what it takes to break the cycle and keep it broken!
